That dutch duo that is known as Sick Individuals has had what some can describe as a breakout 2013. With hits like “I Am” which they did with the legendary Axwell and “Blueprint” which they collaborated with fellow up and comer Dannic, the duo knows what it takes to succeed in the electronic dance music world.
Being hailed as the new wave of dutch talent, their growing popularity makes them a hot commodity worldwide. Already having a fully booked lineup for 2014, the duo is set to embark on their North American Tour starting tomorrow in Quebec, Canada. Their 9 gig tour takes them to all the major markets in North America making stops in Los Angeles, Miami, Washington D.C., and Boston.
But for us New Yorkers the most important stop comes Friday, February 7th, when the duo makes their return to the greatest city in the world. With their most recent performance this past December for the I AM HARDWELL TOUR, the duo is set to headline their own show at Slake NYC. With their unique style and massive sets, guests are in for a treat as the Sick Individuals look turn Slake upside down.

Size Records has been moderately active in 2014 and we’re not even a month into the new year. They have released two new tracks and have now given us the preview to the third, “Heroes”. The mastermind behind this new track goes by the name VYNO. VYNO’s upbringing is relatively shady as of right now, but what we do know is that he is a European living in Chicago who has been supported by the likes of Steve Angello, Axwell, Marcus Schossow, Henry Fong, Nicky Romero, and more. If you don’t know much about him, you should definitely check out his soundcloud (click here) ; his productions are definitely worth listening too.
This new track, “Heroes”, is clearly one of Steve Angello’s more powerful weapons in his artillery. The build-up has a dark and deep feel due to the synths and chords that VYNO throws in, while the breakdown gives the production a livelier feel. The drop is one that you will not forget as it may come as a surprise due its change from buildup to drop.
The drop is comparable to MAKJ’s “Mad Max”, but has a crispier sound to it, making it all its own. The track is set to be released on February 10th and is definitely something you want to keep an eye out for! Check this track out below and let us know what you think.
When “I Am” was released back in September, it took the world by storm. What Axwell and Sick Individuals came up with was a gorgeous track combined with flawless vocals from Talyr Renee. Well since its release the track has seen numerous remixes from the likes of up and comers Jacob Plant and Deorro, each throwing their own distinct sound onto the track. Well leave Dimitri Vegas & Like, Wolfpack, & BoostedKids to throw down the best remix to date.
This remix was premiered during their sold-out “Bringing Home The Madness” shows in Belgium The massive remix leaves the original vocals of Talyr Renee intact while canceling out the original melodic chords and in return we get a catchy electro house beat. Definitely check this track out below as it will definitely be shooting up the Beatport Charts very quickly.
